Found a place!

I found a place yesterday LITERALLY on the golf course I plan to join. Talked to the manager yesterday and she seemed eager. It’s a great looking place w/ a nice gym/pool/hot tub/insuite washer/dryer/dishwasher, etc. I’ll be staying for 6 months, and I will have the ball really rolling once I hear back from US Customs about a few details.

Made $904 at the $16s yesterday, only played 7-8 sets though, slept in cuz I worked out/played poker til 2 am Wednesday night. Haven’t got drunk for ONE ENTIRE MONTH. Sadly/happily, we’re celebrating Kevin’s birthday tomorrow in Abbotsford and it’s going to be incredible. The following night we’re watching Peter Bjorn and John at the Commodore. The following weekend we’re watching Kings of Leon at GM Place. It’s strange that I’m almost disappointed to do ridiculous fun things with my best friends instead of play poker/golf but I’m committed to Phoenix and it’s important I have my feces together.

Going to grind 30-40 hrs a week, workout 3x/week, and play golf 3-4 days a week til I go.

Right on track

Hello hello… things keep getting better and better. As of Tuesday morning I was down 16 lbs in 22 days. I would have destroyed the show the Biggest Loser, maybe I should have got even fatter so I could have been on TV, and then when I’m a pro golfer people will recognize me as the guy who used to be fat. Sadly it will only be my friends and family who will recognize me as the guy who used to be fat. Anyways, I’m +2 or 3 lbs since Tuesday and it’s a bit funny, I’ve worked out hard both days and ate well so it’s weird. My workouts have been killing my legs, walking around today I feel like a decrepid old man.  Yesterday I ate the same amount I’ve been eating the past 3 weeks or so, except for the first time I kept being ridiculous hungry, and kept feeling the need to throw food or water down my gullet even after I consumed decent sized meals. I hope it’s because my metabolism has picked up and my body is working better.

I’m about 95% sure I’m going to go to Phoenix for the winter, and I’m about 95% sure I found my winter golf course:  http://www.theravensouthmountain.com

It’s a fun and challenging course with an excellent practice facility, $1000 to join and $250/month for unlimited play and practice, ummm ship it. Now it’s up to me to save up a bunch of money to buy a new car and afford to live there. If I can get the $ together I’ll leave around Halloween, if not I’ll delay it by a month. I’m looking at 4-6 months, but depending on how I play and what my options are I may end up staying down there and joining the Gateway Tour spring series. Whatever I do expect my golf game will be at a competitive professional level and I will be playing professional golf somewhere by the spring. Right now I assume it’s either the Gateway Tour or the Canadian Tour, we’ll see. I’m motivated and excited right now, things are going to keep getting better. I’m gonna go play a billion sets of $16s now, ttyl.
